Dear NCA Members,
As I embark upon my first year as President of the Nassau Counselors’ Association I am excited that there will be a return to normal. Over the past 18 months, like most organizations, the NCA was relegated to operating in a virtual environment, a first in our 39-year history. Our board meetings, college fairs, holiday gathering and all of the great events that the NCA does throughout the year. I am happy to say we held our first in person Executive Board meeting since January of 2020 this past September and thanks to Molloy College we held an in person welcome back at La Parma Restaurant on November 10th. I am also pleased to announce that our Spring College Expo will be held in person on April 28, 2022. I am hopeful that we will be able to host many of our traditional professional development events in person this year.
I would be remiss if I did not thank you, the members of the NCA and counseling community, for the way you handled all of the issues that the COVID-19 pandemic brought. I was proud at the way the NCA was able to pivot very quickly and continue to provide services we have for the past 39 years. I am extremely proud to be a member of this organization and I am grateful to serve as your president.
Once again, I am really excited that there will be a return to normal, and the wonderful members of the NCA will continue the great works of this organization.
